Nikki Foster is running for Ohio State Representative in the 54th district.
Nikki was born in Washington, DC and raised in Centreville, Virginia. Her parents, an auto mechanic and a civil servant, are both immigrants who came to America as children and worked hard to create a better opportunity for their family. Nikki attended public schools before attending the United States Air Force Academy, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, was commissioned as an Air Force officer, and was an All American rugby player and national champion.
The Foster family inside the KC-10 Aircraft Following the Academy, Nikki attended Air Force Pilot Training in Enid, Oklahoma, where she earned her wings and met and married her husband. Following pilot training, Nikki flew the KC-10 Extender around the globe and in combat over Iraq and Afghanistan. She was selected to become an instructor pilot at the US Air Force Academy, teaching the youngest aviators to fly. While serving as an Air Force officer and pilot, Nikki earned a master’s degree in diplomacy from Norwich University. Eighteen months after her son was born, Nikki returned to combat, where she flew the MC-12, commanding intelligence and reconnaissance missions, at Bagram, Afghanistan. Nikki finished her active duty career as a KC-10 instructor pilot, accumulating over 3000 hours and 200 combat missions. Her military decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, eight Air Medals, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.
Nikki Foster with her son, Wyatt After attaining the rank of Major, Nikki left the Air Force for a career at General Electric to establish a more stable home life while providing more opportunities to serve her community. She was accepted into General Electric Aviation’s premier veterans Junior Officer Leadership Program, in Evendale, Ohio. She is intimately involved in GE’s Veterans Network and works diligently to help hire veterans into the company. She volunteers as a veteran career transition counselor for a national non-profit, Hire Heroes USA. She is a board member of the Association of Graduates Rugby Alumni Affinity Group for the US Air Force Academy. Nikki is in her second year as her son’s Christian Faith Program teacher, at St. Susanna Catholic Church. Entering her 14th year of military service, Nikki is currently an Air Force Reservist, serving as a USAF Academy Admissions Liaison Officer.
Nikki lives in Mason, Ohio with her husband, Rob, and her son, Wyatt. Rob is an airline pilot with United Airlines.
